Located on the shores of the 22,000 acre Smith Mountain Lake, just 45 minutes from downtown Roanoke, Westlake carries the trademark touch of Russell Breeden. A mix of accuracy and distance is required. The course presents beautiful and challenging combinations of downhill tee shots and double doglegs, plus an irresistible opportunity for heavy hitters to take advantage of the par 5. This scenic course provides a memorable and challenging day for golfers of all levels. A beautifully restored farmhouse features a pro shop and delightful restaurant.

Directions

  • From I 581, take Elm avenue exit (Exit 1?) and turn left at the end of exit toward Vinton (Route 24).
  • Stay on Route 24 for about 5 miles and veer right onto Route 834 (Hardy Road).
  • Stay on Hardy Road for 15 miles until it ends at the intersection of Route 122.
  • Turn Left on VA 122 and go 2 miles and turn left on Morewood Road (VA 616).
  • Go 1 mile, turn left on Chestnut Creek Drive.
  • Go 3/4 mile turn right into The Westlake Golf & Country Club.
